Tazewell takes the Polar Plunge

Shop With a Hero Held

Community Thanksgiving

On July 2, 2015, the Town of Tazewell announced that the Commonwealth Transportation Board approved a grant for the Tazewell Train Station for the fully requested amount of $323,927.00 The funds will be available to the Tazewell Train Station as of October 1, 2015, to begin the restoration and repurposing projects.
Town Manager Todd Day and Mayor Donald Buchanan thanked those in attendance and all who supported the project, while Vice Mayor Dr. Terry Mullins provided the history of the Tazewell Train Station.
An open house is scheduled for the public on July 25 from 8 a.m. through 3 p.m., and the depot will be included as a stop on the bus tours sponsored by the Tazewell County Historical Society that day as well.
