Community Thanksgiving
In the spirit of the holiday season, we would like to extend our gratitude to each of the volunteers and sponsors who helped with Community Thanksgiving dinner on November 19th! As we have seen demonstrated
Due to the increased number of positive COVID-19 cases in Tazewell County and surrounding areas the Town of Tazewell Town Council has decided to cancel our annual 2020 Main Street Moments weekend event. Main Street Moments is an annual event that is historically held during the last week of July. During the regular scheduled June Town Council meeting the Council voted to postpone the July event until the weekend of August 14th. Moving the event date would allow more time to hopefully see the COVID-19 numbers reduce. Unfortunately, the numbers seem to be rising at a rate that is making large gatherings not very practical. The cancellation of this event also includes the scheduled Cruise-In and Concert originally planned for August 15th and the Main Street Moments Concert that was scheduled for August 14th . We are very sorry for any inconvenience this cancellation has caused but feel confident a decision has been made that is in the best interest of health and safety.
