On Thursday, October 3, 2019, the IDA reconvened to continue discussions about the potential sale of the Little League fields to Back of the Dragon. IDA meetings are open to the public and are normally held on the first Monday of each month in the board meeting room at Town Hall at 6:00 pm. This session was held early due to the Town Manager Todd Day’s pre-scheduled travel required for the Virginia Municipal League’s conference, that conflicted with Monday’s regular session. IDA members expressed their concerns over the contract and Manager Day gave them an overview of the process needed to see this project from beginning to end. IDA agreed to reassemble on Thursday, October 24, at 6:30 pm at Town Hall to review the contract in detail before making recommendations to Town Council on how to proceed.
