The annual Tazewell Christmas parade was held on Friday, December 12th, 2014:
The Tazewell County Historical Society has kicked off efforts to raise money for the restoration of the Tazewell Train Station by presenting a check for $1,000 at the December Town Council meeting. Donations are vital to the success of this project, and community support is welcomed.

The Tazewell Train Station held it’s Christmas Open House on Saturday, December 6, 2014. The depot visitors not only got an opportunity to view the depot, but were also treated to hot apple cider and cookies, along with storytelling and a visit from Mr. Santa Claus himself!
The Christmas tree lighting for the Town of Tazewell was held on Saturday, December 6, at the American Legion building.

On November 9, 2014, Tazewell held its third annual Veteran’s Day parade. This year the parade had an extra treat during the ceremony thanks to Gordon Bowers, who did a fly-over in his 1955 T-28 Trojan trainer. Tazewell salutes our Veterans!
The annual Kid’s Fishing Day was held on Saturday, October 4, 2014, at Dunford Park in Tazewell.
This was a free event hosted by the Town of Tazewell Police Department, and though the day was chilly, the kids did not seem to mind:
