On Sunday, November 8, 2015, the Town of Tazewell held its fourth annual Veterans Day parade. Mayor Donald Buchanan welcomed the hundreds in attendance:
Jerry McReynolds, a Veteran who also serves on the Town Council and manages the Tazewell County Airport, invited all Veterans to gather at the Main Street United Methodist Church after the program for a dinner in their honor:
Guest speaker Corporal T.J. Bruckner shared how important military service is to him and the honor:
The Green T’s, under direction from THS Choir Director Randy Cordle, beautifully performed the national anthem for the Veterans:
And, Gordon Bowers gave the crowd a thrill with another flyover this year in his 1955 T-28 Trojan trainer:
Thanks to the wonderful Veterans Day parade committee who worked incredibly hard to make this day a success for our Veterans!
