Dr. Charles Grindstaff

Dr. Charles Grindstaff has served as an educator for Tazewell County for 35 years before becoming an Associate professor at Concord University. In Tazewell he has served in several different roles including a teacher at North Tazewell Elementary and as principal for Tazewell Elementary,Tazewell High and The County Career and Technical Center.He has lived in the town of Tazewell for the last 20yrs and has served on the town council for 15yrs. He is married to Suzanne Grindstaff the current principal at Tazewell Elementary. He has three children and three grandchildren

Chris Blankenship

Councilmember Blankenship is a native of Tazewell Co and has lived in Tazewell for over 30 yrs. He graduated Tazewell High School in 1985 and received a Physics Degree from Appalachian State University in 1989. He has severed on several charitable organizations over the last several years and currently is a member on the Four Seasons YMCA board. Chris works for Verizon Business as a Sales Engineering Manager for the Southeast Region. He is married to Tina Blankenship who works at North Tazewell Elementary and has two children.

Danny Willis

Mr. Willis has been a lifelong resident of Tazewell and currently resides on Riverside Dr. He graduated from Tazewell High School and then attended Southwest Virginia Community College. He and his family attend the Riverside Methodist Church at North Tazewell. Mr. Willis is employed at Tazewell Community Hospital, and runs his own lawn care and rental business as well.
He has had the desire to be a part of the town’s council for a long time, and he volunteers a lot of his time helping the Recreation Department with activities for Tazewell’s youth.
