Celebration of the Arts
Oct 3 – Oct 4 all-day

Attention local and area craftsmen, artists, visual arts, graphic arts, painters, quilters, seamstresses, carvers, sculptures, photographers, musicians, bakers, winemakers, microbreweries, authors, jewelry designers, etc. Between Friends will host the third annual “Celebration of the Arts” on Friday and Saturday, October 3-4.

The “Celebration of the Arts” is a free, non-profit festival held annually at Between Friends Gift Boutique, 998 Ben Bolt Ave, Tazewell, VA. All vendors at the festival are local, area and regional artisans. We like to consider art as anything that is pleasing to our senses. This includes anything that is uniquely made and handcrafted, wonderfully prepared foods, baked goods, custom designed cakes, beautifully performed vocals and instrumentals, well written books and stories and quality winemakers and micro brewers that are on the Virginia Finest list. This festival is certainly a feast for all the senses and is always an enjoyable celebration.

If you have a special talent and would be interested in a space at “Celebration of the Arts” please contact Vickie Boothe at Between Friends, 276-988-8235. The deadline to secure a space is September 5th, 2014. There is no fee to set up at the festival, however we do ask you to provide your own tent, table, chairs, etc. Vendors are expected to setup and cleanup your own space before and after the event and contribute an item that displays your talent to be used as a door prize. All vendors must donate 15% of sales from the festival to the charity of our choice.

We plan to add some special surprises including new entertainment and contests this year and will provide more information as time progresses.

The focus of this festival has always been to showcase the vast talent that resides in our area and the dream is to grow this event into something our community’s can be proud of.
