Main Street Mile

Special Recognition of Art Mead

On Monday, April 4, 2016, the Town of Tazewell recognized Art Mead at the monthly Planning Commission meeting. Art, who represents the Weldon Cooper Center for Public Service, has served as an advisor to the Town and has helped shape the newly drafted comprehensive plan in conjunction with the Planning Commission. He brought to the Town his experience as Town Manager of Bluefield, Virginia for eighteen years, his past Planning District Commission board experience, and his vast experience as Assistant Director for Weldon Cooper. Mayor Donald Buchanan presented Art with a key to the Town of Tazewell and a honorary award in appreciation of his work.
