A fundraising banquet will be held on Saturday, June 4, 2016 at the VIP Room in the 4-Way Shopping Plaza. A social gathering will be from 6:00 p.m. through 6:45 p.m. with appetizers, and a buffet dinner will be served at 7:00 p.m. Meet the architect, Barry Rakes, and review the plans for the restoration. A silent auction will be held during the event with winning bids announced at the close.
Tickets are $50.00 each and can be picked up at the Clinch Mountain Amish Furniture store on Main Street in Tazewell, or from committee members.

Adorn your home and/or business for the Sesquicentennial! Judging will be held on July 1 and prizes will be awarded for best decorated. We ask that you leave your decorations out for the month of July for our many celebrations. Go green/gold, green/white, red/white/blue – whatever you feel represents Tazewell best!

Musical entertainment provided by the Jeffersonville Skirmish Band and heavy hors d’oeuvres served by the VIP Room. Period costume requested but not required. Mark your calendars for the Museum’s oldest annual event in celebration of our nation’s independence! This fun-filled, family-oriented event includes live music performances, old fashioned kids’ games, grown-up “Mountain Games”, a kids’ craft trail, a colonial reenactment, costumed demonstrations in the Pioneer Park, and great food vendors! This annual summer celebration is not to be missed!
Celebrate this anniversary with a parade dedicated to our Sesquicentennial! There will be prizes for floats best representing Tazewell history. The parade will start at the Tazewell Little League field area, with lineup at 3:00 pm, traveling to Tazewell High School. The parade will start at 4:00 p.m. Once we arrive at THS, join us for anniversary cake to commemorate this special event. Starting at 5:30 p.m., the evening will include sack races, hula hoop contests, bounce house fun, and many more festivities! Rain date for both the parade and fireworks celebration is Tuesday, July 5.
