It is time to get ready for our 4TH ANNUAL TAZEWELL COUNTY SPRING EXPO!
The Spring Expo was designed to bring our community together. It will be held at Tazewell County Fairgrounds on Saturday, May 14th. We have a day full of food and fun for the kids and adults. This is your opportunity to showcase your business. Last year we offered lots of activities for kids of all ages and we are planning to have even more this year.

Buckskinners are in attendance in the park each day until 5:00pm. The public is invited to tour the campsites and view the demonstrations. Demonstrations in woodworking, blacksmithing, black powder shooting, and more will be held.
Children 7-12: $3

Main Street Mile – Saturday, May 28, 9:00 am
The Main Street Mile will be held on Saturday, May 28, at 9:00 am, and will be start in two segments. The first group will be the Mile Race timed running competition starting at 9:00 am with a pre-registration fee of $20 ($25 race day) or $12 for students ($15 race day). Both adults and students will receive a commemorative t-shirt and medal. Shirts guaranteed to pre-registered runners only. Prizes for top 3 male/female winners.
The second group will be the FREE untimed Open Mile Run/Walk event starting at 9:30 am. Commemorative t-shirts will be available for purchase for $12.
Both groups will start on Main Street and finish at the Tazewell High School lawn. We encourage everyone in our wonderful community to attend! Parking will be available at THS. Ride the free transit from THS to Main Street and join the fun. Special trophy for the Tazewell school with the most participants in the race and/or free walk!

Join us for a free movie night under the stars on beautiful Main Street in Tazewell. Bring your lawn chairs and blankets. Popcorn and drinks provided!

Join the Tazewell Today group as they host the second annual Trucks and Tractors event. From a train trolley, to a school bus and police cruiser – Main Street will have something for everyone, big and small.
Join the Tazewell County Public Library on Saturday, June 4, 2016 for its third annual Comic Con. You can find more information on their Facebook event page here.
A fundraising banquet will be held on Saturday, June 4, 2016 at the VIP Room in the 4-Way Shopping Plaza. A social gathering will be from 6:00 p.m. through 6:45 p.m. with appetizers, and a buffet dinner will be served at 7:00 p.m. Meet the architect, Barry Rakes, and review the plans for the restoration. A silent auction will be held during the event with winning bids announced at the close.
Tickets are $50.00 each and can be picked up at the Clinch Mountain Amish Furniture store on Main Street in Tazewell, or from committee members.
